Maria Magdalena Soto "Mague" Galvan, 85, went peacefully with the Lord, who she loved and praised, Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loved ones in San Angelo. Rosary will be 6:00 PM, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, September 7, 2018 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Jessie Aguirra, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mrs. Galvan was born August 10, 1933 in Mexico. She married Pedro Galvan in 1957. Mague has been a resident of San Angelo since 1972. She was a Catholic. Mague was the "rock" of the family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mague took care of her family her entire life. She opened doors for others and took everyone in as her own. She always made sure everyone was fed, clean, loved and in good spirits. Mague was a spiritual woman and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Pedro Galvan of the home; three sons, Catarino Galvan and wife Patsy Montes, Martin Galvan, and Carlos Galvan all of San Angelo; two daughters, Theresa Galvan of San Antonio and Maggie Galvan of San Angelo; 14 grandchildren, Rachel Galvan, Joseph Galvan, Kristin Montes, David Montes, Rudi Tarango, Petey Galvan, Martin Galvan, Jr., Crystal Ybarra, Carlos Ray Fitchett, Jonathan Galvan, Justin Galvan, Jeremy Galvan, Melony Moran and Jacob Moran, many great grandchildren and her dearest friend Patricia Bejil of San Angelo. Mague was reunited with a granddaughter, Jasmine Gonzales and two of her great grandchildren in Heaven. The Galvan family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to everyone that came to visit or helped in any way.
