Mario Gamez, Sr.

Mario Gamez Sr., 52, of Eola, passed away on Monday August 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on March 8, 1965 to Filimon and Veronica (Guadarrama) Gamez in Salinas, CA. Mario worked for Concho County for over 20 years. Mario was a firm believer in camping and fishing, loved building trucks and cars. He was a master of the grill and life of any party. He was a member of Eloa Clans Washer Pit Club and was known as "CatDaddy". Mario is survived by his daughter, Angel Lee (Gabe) Davidson, son, Mario (Elizabeth Altman) Gamez, Jr., grandchildren; Krosten Keith Davidson, Jayton Montgomery Gamez, father, Filimon (Vero) T. Gamez, mother, Veronica Gamez, brothers, David Gamez, Osiel (Barbara) Gamez, sisters, Verrnis Gamez Addison, Linda Gamez, Sonia (Nakarin) Davis, Gracie Partida, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 10:00am to 8:00pm Wednesday, August 16, 2017, with family present from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:00am Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Jerusalem Assembly of God, with Pastor Jon McCullough, officiating. Burial will be 12:00 noon at Eola Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. The family wants to say thank you to Dr Cheruku and Dr. Jastrow and their satff for the loving care given to our family.
