Marion "Merk" Basil Harris

Marion "Merk" Harris, 80, of San Angelo, passed away Monday October 17, 2016 at his home.

Family visitation will be 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday October 21, 2016 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Saturday October 22, 2016 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Brother Randy Bush of Harris Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Merk was born in Lawn, Texas to H B Harris and Ruth (McAnally) Harris on October 22, 1935. He went to school at San Saba, Texas. He married Stella Snyder on February 6, 1978 in San Angelo. He was self-employed as a car stereo installer. He was a member of Harris Avenue Baptist Church.

Merk is survived by his wife, Stella, children, Dena (Jerry) Alderman of Taylor, TX., Kerry (Cindy) Feathers of Austin, Pamela (Tom) Hahn of San Angelo, Terry Harris of Tennessee, Belinda McLane of Euless, TX, sister, Almetta Beaman of Houston, brother-in-Law, Bill McGinnis of San Angelo, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be given to Harris Avenue Baptist Church.
