Marvin Lee Lawson, 88 of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 14, 2012 at his home. Family Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday February 16, 2012 at the Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday February 17, 2012 at Fairmount Cemetery with Glenda Harbert and Tim Davenport-Herbst, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Marvin was born July 12, 1923 in Brownwood, Texas to Lester and Ruby (Green) Lawson. He served as a radio/radarman and turret gunner in the Naval Air Corp. during WWII where he was stationed in Hawaii. He married Rosalee Williams on November 1, 1941 in Brownwood. Marvin later lived in Austin and San Diego and was a longtime resident of San Angelo. He worked at Ethicon as a supervisor for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ruby Graddy and Lester Lawson. Survivors include his wife, Rosalee Lawson of San Angelo; son, Gary Lawson and wife, Sharon Barak, of Missouri City, Tx; granddaughters, Leisha Burleson of Dallas and Taryn Lindsey of The Woodlands, Tx., and numerous cousins.
