MARY P. "POLLY" BODE

Mary Pauline Bode, 86, of San Angelo passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009 at a local hospital. Mary was born on September 21, 1922 in Mason County to Arthur and Myrtle Hurley. She married Leon E. Bode in San Angelo on November 29, 1945. She was a bookkeeper. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jim Hill officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kent Saunders, Ben Calhoun, Andy Calhoun, Dan Calhoun, David Hair, Jay Saunders, John Talley, and Ronel Robbins. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Leon E. Bode; parents, Arthur and Myrtle Hurley; brother, Gordon Hurley. Survivors include her son, James Bode and wife Mary of San Angelo; daughters, Pat Saunders and husband Jay of Denton; Mary Calhoun and her husband Dan of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Kent Saunders; Ben Calhoun; and Andy Calhoun; great grandchildren, Ryder Calhoun and Leo Calhoun; sisters, Dortha White of San Angelo; and Wanda Jacques of Mason.
