Mary E Goetz

Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Ann (Susie) Goetz Mary Elizabeth Ann (Susie) Goetz went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. She was 84 years old. She was born in Adona, Arkansas to Dallas Arlington Sharp and Eunice Lou Wilkerson Sharp on October 13, 1933. After moving to Texas, the family settled in the Rochester area where Susie, one of seven children, attended Rochester schools. She loved sports of all kinds and played high school basketball and softball. Upon graduating from Rochester High School, she married Bobby Joe Craft of Aspermont, Texas. Together, they had four children, Laquita Dell, Bobby Lynn, Benny Lee, and Kenneth Louis. It was during this time that Susie studied to obtain her license to practice Cosmetology and opened her own Beauty Shop in Wall, Texas, where the couple had settled. They were faithful members of Veribest Baptist Church and enjoyed the active life that came along with raising four busy teenagers. Life took a tragic turn when her husband, Bobby Joe, passed away unexpectedly. Eventually, life took another unexpected turn. Marvin Carl Goetz, a widower from Vancourt, Texas proposed to Susie and she said yes. Together they raised his two small children, Don Paul and Ellen Elaine and blended their two families into one large family that kept growing and growing with the addition of in-laws and grandchildren. Susie's greatest joy was to raise and nurture all six of her children and to see them become successful adults. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother to them all and she will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Carl Goetz, granddaughter, Lauren Sterling Lee, parents, Dallas and Eunice Sharp, brother, Travis Sharp, sister, Syble Stone and by son in law, Steven Charles Lee. She is survived by her children: Laquita Lee of Jacksonville Arkansas; Bobby Craft and wife Donna Craft of San Angelo; Benny Craft and wife Kelly Craft of Sandia, Texas; Kenny Craft and wife Cindy Craft of Houston; Don Goetz and wife Dr. Susan Goetz of Amarilllo; Ellen Kleibrink and Husband Ricky Kleibrink of Flower Mound, Texas; and grandchildren: Melissa Furr and Husband Shaun Furr of Hewitt, Texas; Shannon Seale and husband Tony Seale of Corpus Christi; Richard Lee and wife Chalyce Lee of Jacksonville Arkansas; Justin Craft of Woodland Park, Colorado ; Brandon Kleibrink and wife Laura Kleibrink of Dallas; Brittney Kleibrink of Austin; Keegan Goetz of Austin; Kelsea Goetz of Amarillo; Kaleigh Goetz of Amarillo; and great-grandchildren: Dylan Scott, Katie Scott, Payton Lee, Piper Lee, and Kynslee Kleibrink.
