Mary Jean Kennison, 77, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at a local nursing home. Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Jesse Guerrero officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mary Jean was born on February 19, 1935 to Edwin and Emily Lunn in Murdo, South Dakota. Mary Jean was a teacher and supervisor for secondary special education S.A.I.S.D for over twenty-two years. Mary Jean and her husband Philip traveled extensively during the twenty-four years Philip was in the Air Force. Upon Mary Jean's and Philip's retirement they enjoyed travelling with the high point of their travels being visiting Antarctica and South America. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the stroke rehab unit at Community Hospital, Senior Care Rehab Center and Odyssey Hospice of San Angelo. Mary Jean is survived by her husband Philip Kennison of San Angelo; son Barry Kennison of Austin; son Jeffery Kennison and Jana of San Angelo; grandson Cody Kennison and wife, Stepheny of Gatesville; brother Larry Lunn and wife, Neva of Florida; two great-grandsons Jakolby and Zechariah along with numerous nieces and nephews.
