Mary Frances Bastardo Navarro, 84, of San Angelo, affectionately known by many as "Granny", went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 9, 2007, at her residence. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 11, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Quirino Cornejo officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mary was born May 7, 1923 in San Angelo to Mr. and Mrs. John Rodriguez. Granny touched many lives with her love, adopting many as her own. She never met a stranger and all were welcome into her home. "Good things come in small packages"-that was ever so evident in our mother's and "Granny's" four-foot-six-inch stature whose love and heart so greatly exceeded her unselfishness. She loved her daughters, grandchildren, cats and Westerns. Granny lived a life here on Earth just as God wanted her to live; leaving a legacy for all loved ones to follow. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Jesus Navarro and sisters Ninfa Valdez, Victoria Herrera, Natalia Contreras, Luisa Barrera and Fannie Rogers; one brother John Rogers. She is survived by her daughters Del Aguilar and husband, John of San Angelo; Anna Freibert and husband, Robert of Justin, Texas and Rosalinda Ybarra and husband, Tony of Keller, Texas; grandchildren Eugene Bastardo, Abram Holguin, Josephine Martinez, Adrienne Ybarra and two great-grandchildren Andrea Bastardo and Marc Balkum. Pallbearers will be Eugene Bastardo, Abram Holguin, John Aguilar, Elias Rojas Jr, Daniel Zertuche and Tony Ybarra. The family extends their deepest appreciation to Hospice of San Angelo, TLC Home Health and Shannon 5 North, for all their compassion and professional care given to our Mom.
