Mary Louise (Deedee) Villaret, 90, died at her residence on Monday, February 16, 2009. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday February 23, 2009 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Father Allan Conkling, officiating. Services are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. She was the eldest child of Paul Jr. and Louise Villaret who preceded her in death. Her brother, Paul III, also preceded her in death. She was born on May 6, 1918 in San Antonio. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Thomas Spinks and brother, Colegate Wotton. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces, Colegate Spinks, Scott and wife, Lynda Spinks; Paul G. Villaret IV; Carole Maldonado and husband Alex Viera, Richard Villaret and Amanda Starck and husband, John and nine great nephews and nieces. Mary Louise was graduated from Alamo Heights High School, San Antonio Junior College, The University of Texas at Austin, St. Mary's Law School, San Antonio and Columbia University, New York. During WWII, she served 3 years in USMC and left active duty as a Captain. Most of her adult life was in Christian Education for the Episcopal Church. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in San Angelo where she served on the Vestry and numerous volunteer jobs in the church. For the last 18 years she made her home in San Angelo.
