Mary Sartain Young

Mary Sartain Young, 89, of San Angelo, passed away on November 22, 2015 in San Angelo. Graveside services will be 2:30 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mary was born on December 23, 1925 to William and Eva (Hendon) Howell in Brownfield. She graduated from Stephenville High School, and later Tarleton State University with a degree in accounting. Mary was the office manager for Hemphill-Wells in San Angelo for many years. Then she jointly operated an income tax service for many cooperative businesses with her brother. She married Duncan Sartain Sr. here in San Angelo. After his death, Mary shifted her career to investments, everything from stocks to real estate. She later married William Young here in San Angelo. Mary was a longtime member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by: parents, both husbands, and daughter Mary Melissa.
