Melvin Raymond James our Beloved "Gran Gran" passed from this life to a better place, Wednesday, November 2, 2005. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2005 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Mike Burson officiating. Burial will be held at the Mulecreek Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Melvin was born January 27, 1927 in San Angelo to George and Katie Derrick James. Survivors are: Wife:Naomi James Daughters:Melanie Smith Joni Satterfield Sister:Hazel Magness Brother:Buck James Special son-in-law:Mike Satterfield Grandsons:Zane Smith and wife, Naomi Jamien Smith Steven Ross Satterfield Pallbearers will be grandsons, and Mike Satterfield, Wes Smith and Bert Cornelius.
