Mildred Wyoda Stanley

Mildred W. Stanley, age 93, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018, at her residence. Mildred was born in Antlers, OK to Lon and Otia (Hale) Beagles. She served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII and moved to San Angelo in 1966 where she met and married Melvin Stanley on January 7, 1967 in San Angelo at the Baptist Tabernacle. They lived in San Angelo where she worked at Goodfellow AFB until the time of her retirement in 1975. Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church here in San Angelo since 1966. She enjoyed gardening and making quilts with her husband, Mel. Mildred was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Marcia and Sharon. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she has touched. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lon and Otia (Hale) Beagles; loving husband, Melvin Stanley; daughter, Sharon Dove and her great-granddaughter, Samantha Dawn Shore. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Marcia Gregory and husband, Samuel of San Angelo; grandson, William D. Shore, Jr of Goodlettsville, TN; granddaughter, Davinia L. McComb and husband, Jerry of Goodlettsville, TN; grandson Ivan R. Shore of Portland, TN; grandson, Melvin M. Greer of San Angelo; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Family visitation will be held 4pm to 6pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 23, 2018, at San Angelo Cowboy Church with Pastor Jay Johnson officiating.
