Miss Faye "Faye" Cooksey

Faye "Miss Faye" Cooksey, 80, of San Angelo passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving friends and family. Viewing will start at 10:00 am on Friday September 23, 2011 with the family present from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday September 24, 2011 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Brother Roger Blocker of The Heights officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Faye was born on October 22, 1930 to Richard and Cora Earnhart in Santa Anna, Texas. She was a loving companion to Joe Pena who she worked side by side with at Joe's Park Restaurant. She was also a loving mother and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Faye is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill, Ira, and Pat Jr.; and son Melvin Cooksey. Faye is survived by her loving companion, Joe Pena of San Angelo; daughters, Linda Walker and her husband John of San Angelo; Cathy Kuykendall and her husband Rennond of Eldorado; sisters, Viola Luedtke of Wisconsin; and Geneva Mangham of Temple, Texas; grandson, Todd Walker and his wife Barbara of San Angelo; great grandson, Cody Walker of Fort Worth; great granddaughter, Chelsea Walker of San Angelo; God daughter, Jana Kennison of San Angelo; adopted daughter Linda Baker and her husband Donald of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
