Misty Katheryn Martinez, 42, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020, in San Antonio.

Memorial Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, September 25, 2020, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Kasey Murphy, associate pastor of First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Services are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martinez was born on May 1, 1978 to Gail and Darrel Hudson. She married Erik Martinez on July 15, 2015 in San Angelo. Misty enjoyed being around family and helping others with the huge heart she had. Misty always felt a calling when it came to child development. For many years she worked at Head Start in San Angelo and provided a positive impact on many children associated with that program. She went on to get her directors license and worked in childcare/ child development at countless Daycares in San Angelo and San Antonio. Her greatest love was her family. She took great pride in knowing things were getting taken care of “her way”. She always made sure that anything that needed to be done was done when it had to be. She was the backbone of her family and would do whatever was necessary to ensure their success. She was involved with everything her children participated in from sports to high school band events. She was the President of the Band Booster Club at Lakeview High School. Everything she was involved with in life, she gave 100% and that drive will be greatly missed by everyone who’s heart was touched by her.

Survivors include her husband, Erik; and children, Mark and Leticia all of San Antonio; brother, Jason and wife Venessa Bell; niece and nephew, London and Jordan of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Aimee Moulder; niece and nephews, Kailani Champ and Preston of San Angelo, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Al and Isabel Martinez of San Angelo; and numerous family members in Oklahoma.
