NICOLAS L. MORUA

Nicolas L. Morua, 84 of San Angelo passed away Saturday May 9, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Rosary will be 7:00 PM Tuesday May 12, 2009 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will 10:00 AM Wednesday May 13, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father David Herrera, of St. Mary Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Nicolas was born September 10, 1924 in Canoas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Jose and Angela Morua Lara. Nicolas was a skilled carpenter and worked for many years at the San Angelo Independent School District. He married Cruz Martinez on January 4, 1950 in San Angelo and they shared 59 wonderful years together. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clementino Garcia. Survivors include his wife, Cruz Morua of San Angelo; two daughters, Josie Soto and husband, Frank of Bedford, TX., and Angie Ortegon of San Angelo; two sons, Nick Morua and wife, Robin of Westminster, CA., and Greg Morua and wife, Velma of San Angelo; Two sisters, Beatriz Morua and Maria Morua of Tampico, Mexico; Grandsons, James Soto & wife Adriana, John Soto & wife Jana and Christopher Morua; Granddaughters, Cassie Morua, Carla Morua, Chelsea Morua, April Ortegon and Crystal Ortegon; Great Grandson, Felix Rosales; Great Granddaughters, Arden Soto, Josie Rae Soto and Celeste Chaidez Pallbearers will grandsons; James Soto, John Soto, Christopher Morua; son-in-law, Frank Soto and friends.
