OFIELIA ARROYO

Ofelia Arroyo, 60 of San Angelo died Thursday, January 15, 2009 at an area nursing home. Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday January 17, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic church with Father David Herrera, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Ofelia was born December 23, 1948 in Del Rio, Texas to Alejandro Bermea and Dolores Luna Samaniego. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son; Carlos Arroyo; two brothers, Alfredo and Juan Samaniego; three sisters, Odelia Mireles, Anabella Barrientos and Hilda Mendoza. She is survived by her husband, Hector Arroyo, Sr. of San Angelo; three daughters, Carolina Arroyo and husband, Mario Rodriguez, Sylvia Arroyo and Dalia Ortega and husband, Raul Ortega, Sr. all of San Angelo. Two sons; Arturo Arroyo and wife, Kim of Seguin, TX., and Hector Arroyo Jr. of San Angelo.; Two brothers; David L. Samaniego, Sr. and Raul Samaniego, both of San Angelo; Four Sisters; Graciela Hernandez and husband, Robert Hernandez of San Angelo, Olga Bastardo and husband, Joe Bastardo, Sr., Alma Martinez and husband, Jose Martinez, both of East Chicago, IL., Alicia Samaniego and husband, Antonio of Grand Prairie, TX. She was also blessed with 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Derek Arroyo, Adam Garcia, Gino Gonzales, Anthony Arroyo, Joshua VillaFranco and Pablo Bejil, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be David V. Samaniego Jr., Daryl Martinez and James VillaFranco. The family would like to give a special thanks to VistaCare and Cedar Manor nursing home for all that was done to comfort her throughout all these years.
