Ona Reed

Ona Reed, 93 of Christoval went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday November 9, 2013 at a local care center. Viewing and Family Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm Monday November 11, 2013 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Tuesday November 12, 2013 at Ivy Cemetery in Christoval with Eddie Howard, officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ona was born March 21, 1920 in Fredonia, TX., to O. A. and Florence (Harris) Boultinghouse. She married Bennett W. Reed Jr. in San Antonio on September 15, 1950. She loved being outdoors and flowers and gardening, birds and her beloved chickens. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons; Ronald C. Reed and Vernon Reed and three sisters; Ollie Wallace, Wanda Bailey and Loise Boultinghouse. Survivors include her husband of 63 years; Bennett W. Reed Jr., two daughters; Jenny Reed of Grand Prairie, Loretta Boyd and husband, Larry of Christoval, son; Bennett W. Reed 3rd and wife, Terri of Sacramento, CA., a daughter in law; Melanie Reed of San Angelo, two brothers; Gene Boultinghouse and wife, Saundra of Dayton, TX., and Hollis Boultinghouse and wife, Elsa of Nacogdoches, TX., sister; Dorothy Hinton of Georgetown, TX, grandchildren; Bonnie Kattner and husband, Caleb, Patrick Boyd and wife, Delyn all of Christoval, TX., Angela Flores and husband, Carlos of San Angelo, Pamela Miller of Baytown, TX., and William Reed and wife, Sarah and Chris Reed of Sacramento, Ca., and seven great grandchildren. Memorial donations may be given to Christoval church of Christ. The family wants to extend a special thank you to the Dr.s, nurses and staff at Shannon Medical Center.
