Opal Cleo Forbus, 73, of San Angelo went to meet her Lord, Thursday, January 11, 2007 at her residence peacefully. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, January 15, 2007 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Chaplain Jim Benson with Shannon Medical Center officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at the Old Runnels Cemetery in Ballinger, Texas. Opal was born October 2, 1933 in Kyle, Texas to Doris and Effie Farr. She retired from Levi Strauss working as a seamstress and in quality control. Opal continued working as a Wal-Mart Associate in the fabric department. She was loved by everyone she met. Opal loved to sit on a river bank and fish with a cane pole. She passed that love onto her children and grandchildren. She was extremely devoted to her family. She as was preceded in death by her parents and a son Robert Dwight Forbus. Survivors are her husband of 56 years Robert Forbus; daughter Dee Ann Rohmfeld and husband Charles; son Jerry Forbus all of San Angelo, Texas; brother John Henry Farr of Fort Worth, Texas; two aunts Leatha Johnson of Colorado City, Texas and Belva Rainwater of Eden, Texas; grandchildren Shelly Rohmfeld, Chris Rohmfeld, Sabrina Pierson and Kelly Pierson, Glimmer Cleo Forbus and Jerry Lynn Forbus Jr; two great-grandchildren Dakota Pierson and Katie Pierson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Chris Rohmfeld, D.J. Parr, Corby Gray, Doug Farr, James Barrows and Rocky Templin.
