Ophelia Katherine Taylor, 91 of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Monday March 11, 2013 at an area care center. Family Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday March 13, 2013 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral will be 11:00am Thursday March 14, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Dr. Toby Irwin, pastor of Belmore Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ophelia was born July 26, 1921 in Ben Wheeler, Van Zandt County, Texas to Jasper and Hillie (Perkins) Johnson. She married Jodie W. Taylor on October 20, 1945 in Athens, Texas and they shared 38 years together until his death on January 9, 1983. She was the food service manager for the Woolworth's luncheonette in San Angelo for many years. Pallbearers will be "Memo" Taylor Valdez, Jesse Taylor, David Taylor, Stacey Smith, Gaylon Johnson, Wayne Babovec. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cynthia Ann Taylor; grandson, Lee Lopez; sister, Clara Benge; brother, Harold Johnson Survivors include three daughters; Kathie Joe Clark of San Angelo, Hilda Williams and husband, Dale of Forney, TX., Mary Lopez and husband, Emit of San Angelo, son; Jackie W. Taylor and wife, Margaret of Llano, TX., grandchildren; "Memo" Taylor Valdez, Jodi Ronae Hernandez, Bobby Rios, Jesse Taylor, David Taylor and Sierra Taylor; great-grandchildren; William Bell and Lee Hernandez, sister; Brenda J. Smith of Athens and numerous nephews and nieces including special neice, Sharon Smith Bablvec. Special thanks to the Regency House, Lighthouse Hospice doctors and staff for the loving care shown to Ophelia during her time there and her church family at Belmore Baptist Church.
