OPHELIA RODRIGUEZ ZEPEDA

Our loving mother left this world to be with her heavenly father on September 2, 2005. She was born on December 18, 1926 to Ysmael and Isabel Rodriguez in San Angelo, Texas and cared for both until their passing. Our Mom enjoyed the simple things in life and made her family her life's enjoyment. Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm September 5, 2005 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 11:00 am September 6, 2005 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Quirnio Cornejo, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Ophelia was preceded in death by her parent's Ysmael and Isabel Rodriguez, grandson Noe Gonzalez, Jr., and granddaughter Lori Ann Luna Olvera. Ophelia is survived by her children, Norma Garcia and husband David of Austin, Noe Gonzalez and wife Tanya of Chula Vista, California, and Patricia Luna and husband Ricky of San Angelo; brother Clemente Rodriguez and wife Christina of San Angelo; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Ophelia worked for GTE for 25 years before retiring. She lived in San Angelo most of her life spending her retirement years in Austin, Texas with her daughter Norma and the remainder of her days were spent with her daughter in law Tanya in Bakersfield California and final resting days with her daughter Patricia. Pallbearers will be Johnny Dominguez, Ashby Franklin, David Garcia, Raymond Luna, Richard Luna, and Ricky Luna. God looked around his garden and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful; He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering. He knew that you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered, "Peace Be Thine." It broke our hearts to lose your but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
