Ozella "Pat" Hawkins, age 95 of San Angelo departed this life on December 22, 2020.
Public viewing will be on Tuesday, December 29th from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on December 30th at 1:00 PM at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Pat was born April 7, 1925 to James and Ethel Lee Jones Houston in Jarrell, Texas. She was the oldest of three children including her sister, Helen Dailey and her brother Raymond Houston. She graduated from Carver High School in Georgetown, Texas and attended Huston-Tillotson University for two years.
She married the love of her life, Cleota Hawkins Jr on February 21, 1947 in San Angelo and traveled the world during his thirty years of military service before settling back down in San Angelo. It was in San Angelo that she retired as a teaching assistant at Blackshear Elementary School.
Pat enjoyed going to social functions, fishing with friends and was an avid bingo player. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethel Houston; her sister Helen Willie Dailey and by her husband, Cleota Hawkins Jr.
Pat leaves to cherish her memories one loving brother, Raymond Houston of Parsons, Kansas; her son Currie Hawkins and his wife Linda of The Colony, Texas; two grandsons Elika and Kalani Hawkins of Phoenix, Arizona; five nieces, Helen Person of St. Louis, Missouri, Shirley Tisdale of Temple, Texas, Jackie Moss of Parsons, Kansas, Tim McBeyers of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Jerrilyn Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; special friends, Imogene and French Moreland of Houston, Texas, Ella Mae Johnson of San Angelo, Texas, Mr. Ralph Powell of San Angelo, Texas, and Francis and Clarence Willis of San Angelo, Texas.
