Patricia Martin, 87, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family. Memorial services will be 3:00 PM Friday, October 12, 2018, at Life Change Baptist Church in Odessa with Rev. Mike Courtney, pastor, officiating. Family will lay her to rest 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home in San Angelo. Mrs. Martin was born December 3, 1930 in Borger. She has been a resident of Odessa and lived with her daughters since moving from San Angelo in 2000. Patricia married Marvin Lewis "Fuzzy" Martin on May 22, 1949. He preceded her in death in June 2008 Patricia and Fuzzy are survived by three loving natural born children, Sharon Stricklen of Odessa, Deborah Crouch of Odessa, and Rex Martin of Longview; nephew, Kyle Brown of Odessa, and niece Trisha Hamil of Kerrville; two great nephews, Zachary Hamil and Andrew Hamil both of Kerrville; five grandchildren, Matthew Stricklen, Christopher Stricklen, Tammy Crouch, Jennifer Trainor, and Dusty Martin; ten great grandchildren, Brian Stricklen, L'Aurie Stricklen, Logan Stricklen, Shaylee Stricklen, Alex Crouch, Cole Wilkinson, Brandyn Trainor, Tommy Trainor, Audrey Martin, and Asher Martin. Patricia was also blessed to know three great-great grandchildren, Reagan Stricklen, Jackson Stricklen, and Chloe Calderon. Patricia was a piano teacher for 65 years in San Angelo and in the Midland Odessa area. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award for 50 years of teaching. She was a member of the Music Teacher Associations in San Angelo and in Midland/Odessa area. She enjoyed teaching KinderMusic with her loving sister Beverly Brown in San Angelo for five years. She was a long-standing member of First Presbyterian Church of San Angelo and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Odessa. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Midland, Nurses Unlimited, and Crossland Care for their love and support all these years.
