Paul Martinez Peña, 62, of San Angelo passed away Wednesday, February 08, 2006 in a local nursing home. A memorial service with Rosary will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Mike Burson and Deacon Abel Fernandez officiating. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Paul was born November 26, 1943 in San Angelo to Pablo and Ester Peña. Paul joined the Air Force with a lot of anticipation in serving his country, but most of all the desire of traveling the world. However, the Air Force had a different agenda for Paul, he was stationed at Goodfellow. He went on to train as a medic for the Air Force. He worked for the Doctor's Hospital in Dallas, as a phlebotomist, for numerous years. Paul had a heart of gold and had a "happy go lucky guy" attitude, living life to its fullest. He loved country music, enjoyed golf and was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy Fan. His courageous strength and outlook of life will remain in our hearts forever. Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nicolas and Isabelle Martinez, mother Ester Peña, and wife Valera Jean Peña.
