PAULINE MARIE CLARK

Pauline Marie Clark, 84 of San Angelo died Wednesday July 8, 2009 at an area nursing home. Family visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday July 10, 2009 at the Robert Massie Funeral home. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Saturday July 11 at the Harvest Baptist Church on Austin Street with Ron Patterson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00pm Saturday July 11, 2009 at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery in the Cedar Hill Section. Pauline was born October 17, 1924 in Abilene to William Arthur and Lula Ida Shreve Turnidge. She was the first baby born at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene then known as West Texas Baptist Sanatorium. She married Marvin Howard (M.H.) Clark on June 1, 1941 in Abilene. Pauline was a faithful pastor'™s wife, loving and sacrificial mother and housewife and a skillful seamstress and genealogist. She is survived by her husband; M.H. Clark, of San Angelo; three daughters: Martha Simpson and husband, George of Raynham, MA, Mary Hartman of San Angelo, and Sharon Watson and husband, Reece of Bigalow, AR; a son; Marvin Clark Jr., and wife, Rada of Wasilla, AK; one sister: Jean Turnidge of Ft. Worth, four sisters-in-law Pauline Maul of Payson, AZ, Joyce Dane, June Burt and Shirley Pylant , all of Abilene and brother in law; Raymond Clark of Cherry Hill, NJ. Sixteen Grandchildren and Seventeen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerrol Harmon, Charles Schlauter, Tim Carver, Ben Koca, Robert Peevy and Mel Schull The family of Pauline wishes to offer special thanks to Cedar Manor Nursing Home and to Vista Care Hospice.
