Pauline George July 22, 1925 - January 23, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce our Mom and Nana, Pauline George, has gone home to be with the Lord. This extraordinary woman married Dial George on June 21, 1941 in Mertzon, Texas. They raised three children while she worked full time as a telephone operator at GTE in San Angelo, TX. She retired from GTE in 1987 and concentrated her time on travels, her flowers and her family. She was also a member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church home bound ministry. Polly was a passionate admirer of flowers, especially bluebonnets and wildflowers, her Chihuahuas, Christmas lights and anything with pizzazz and bling. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Coy) Meares and her son, Jerry (Marina) George, a sister Lee (Andy) Andrae of San Angelo, TX and a dedicated son-in-law, Gene Gotcher of San Angelo. Four grandchildren; Melissa Tucker (Allyson) of Lawton OK, Colin Gotcher of Seabrook, TX, Chris George, San Luis Obispo, CA and Billy Tucker of San Angelo, TX. Three great grandchildren; John McCormick (Jennifer) of Aurora, CO, Samantha McCormick of San Marcos, TX and Hunter Tucker of San Angelo, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dial George, , her daughter Paula Gotcher, her mother Minnie Crosswhite, her grandson, Phillip Gotcher and her brother Buddy Crosswhite.
