Preston Doyle "PD" Miller, 67, of San Angelo passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after a three-year long battle with cancer and diabetes
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2022, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Scott Bradford, pastor at First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Miller was born November 5, 1954, in Brownwood to Morris Preston Miller and Mary Doyle Whatley Miller. PD moved to San Angelo in 1966, with his family when his parents were transferred to the phone company. He was in the very first class to attend John Glenn Junior High School. PD graduated from Central High School in 1973. He worked over 40 years in the air conditioning business with the last eight years being with San Angelo ISD in the HVAC department.
On December 29, 1982, he married Sharon Slagle at First United Methodist Church of San Angelo. They were married 39 years and had two children Justin and Melody. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing at The Place in San Saba, watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, but most of all he loved his three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife's parents, Robert Slagle and wife Marjorie.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his son, Justin Miller of San Angelo; his daughter, Melody Kovar and husband Casey of Lubbock; his three grandchildren, Colton, Caroline, and Carlee Kovar; his sister, Annetta Gray and husband Homer of San Angelo; his three sisters- in -law, Suzanne Wessel and husband James of
Kerrville, Shelley Slagle of San Angelo, and Sheri Slagle and partner Clinton of San Angelo; his two nephews, Brian Wessels of Austin and Kevin Wessels and wife Kelsie of Kerrville; and many lifelong friends among them Joel and Suzanne Johnson and George Curtis.
