Ralph A. Parish

Ralph A. Parish, 85, of San Angelo passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 in San Angelo. Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Robert Massie Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Reverend Matthew Rowe officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Columbarium. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ralph was born on March 19, 1929 in Alpena, Michigan to Ralph Parish Sr. and Vivian Sparks. He graduated San Angelo High School in 1947, then went to San Angelo College, and joined The United States Army serving in the Korean War. After the service, he married Evelyn Cochran on June 21, 1953 in San Angelo and went to Texas Tech. He was a retired salesman and a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Brenda Webb. Ralph is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn; sons, Alan Parish of San Angelo; Jerrell Parish of Austin; a daughter, Lisa Ziriax of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Marjorie Garner and her husband Pete of Odessa, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
