Ramona Hernandez (Hernandez) Velazquez

Ramona Hernandez Velasquez, 87, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020, in San Angelo.

Public visitation will be from 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM Monday, September 21, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 21, 2020, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Rev. Samuel Lopez, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Velazquez was born November 4, 1932 in Ciudad Acuna Coahuila, Mexico. Ramona has been a resident since 1983. She married Pedro Velasquez on October 23, 1948 in Acuna. She was a homemaker. Ramona was an Assembly of God member. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and caring Mother and Grandmother. The family will also remember her special smile, her caring heart, her warm embrace, she always gave them. Ramona being there for Pedro and her children, through good and bad times, no matter what. “We will always remember you, mom because there will never be another love bigger then the one you gave us. We will always love you.”

Survivors include her husband, Pedro of the home; eight daughters, Rosaisela Huerta, Valentina Hernandez, Amalia Saenz, Marilu Garcia, Sonia Guerrero, Sylvia Moreno, Altagracia Quintana, Santa Ramona Cancino; four sons, Hervey Velasquez, Rosendo Velasquez, Pedro Jr. Velasquez, and Efrain Velasquez; 37 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren; a brother, Valentin Hernandez. Ramona was preceded in death by two daughters, Lidia Castro, and San Juana Velasquez;  sons, Jose Velasquez, Pedro Velasquez; a sister, and two brothers.
