Raymond "Speedy" Jurecek, 77, of Eola peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at his residence. Visitation will begin at 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2011 with family present 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Dr. David Womack officiating. Burial will follow in Eola Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Eugene Spieker, Bill Fiveash, Matt Clarizio, Trey Bradshaw, John Cmerek, and Bud Hoelscher. Raymond was born on his parent's Charles Sr. and Camille Jurecek's home place east of Eola, Texas. He attended school at Dry Hollow Elementary and Eola High School and was active in F.F.A. He enjoyed hunting and cat-fishing but he especially enjoyed barbequing for family and friends. He was devoted to his family and farming. Daddy and his humor will be dearly missed. Raymond married Connie Williams on November 24, 1956 in San Angelo and has just celebrated 55 years on Thanksgiving Day. Raymond was baptized by classmate and lifetime friend, the late Pastor Jimmy Linderman in August of 2003 at his home in a stock tank witnessed by his loved ones and friends. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nick Jurecek and wife Kate; nephew, Mikel Jurecek; nieces, Nancy Jurecek Schwertner and Shelia Wilde Christman; and brother-in-law, Ello Wilde. Raymond is survived by his loving family and wife Connie; four daughters, Brenda Murray of Valley Mills and fiancé, Joe Robinson of San Angelo; grandsons, Beau Edward and Blake Raymond Murray; Renee Niehues and husband Carey of Garden City; granddaughters, J'Layne Kemp and husband Layne, M'Lynn Taylor and husband Jeremy, and K'Lann Hamende and husband Joe; Janet Arp and husband Ken of Midland; granddaughter Cenee Arp; Karen Boyle and husband Milton of McGregor; four great grandchildren, Jade and Jynsen Kemp, Kanyon and Corbin Taylor. His brother, Charles "Flash" Jurecek Jr. and wife Mae Dell of Eola; sister, Matilda Wilde of Eden; and a brother-in-law, Charlie "Uncle Sonny" Williams of Early. Special loving friends Eugene and Lessie Spieker of San Angelo; Matt and Debra Clarizio of Vick; and several nieces and nephews.
