Rebbecca Flores Rodriguez, 80, of San Angelo passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at a local nursing home. Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Rebbecca was born on June 6, 1932 in San Angelo to John and Maria Flores. She married Noe Alvarado Rodriguez in July of 1953; together they had six children; four daughters and two sons. Rebbecca enjoyed working as a house keeper for many years before retiring. She was a devoted Catholic and loved God greatly. She loved cooking, listening to music and dancing. Rebbecca was a great mother who loved her children, took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mother always had a smile even in times of pain; Mom's wonderful smile will be deeply missed by all. Rebbecca is preceded by her husband Noe A. Rodriguez, parents John and Maria Flores, sister Elvira F. Arocha, brothers John E. Flores Sr., Ernesto E. Flores Sr., Eusebio E. Flores Sr., Porfirio E. Flores Sr. and great-grandson Sammy Sotor. Rebbecca is survived by daughter MaryRose Castaneda and Mercedes Gonzales of San Angelo; daughter Sally Flores and Rodrigo Carrillo of San Angelo; daughter Sylvia Chacon and husband, Thomas Sr of Del Rio; daughter Rachel Dominguez of San Angelo; son Jerry F. Rodriguez of San Angelo; son Fernando F. Rodriguez and wife, Lorina of San Angelo and brother Tony E. Flores and wife, Eva of San Angelo, 20 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a very special friend Virginia Sosa. Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Noe Rodriguez, Michael Flores, D-Day Dominguez, Mario Dominguez, Thomas Chacon Jr. and Fernando I. Rodriguez. The family would like to say Thank you to Shannon Medical Center's ICU and the Five North Nursing Staff. A special Thanks to Dr. Martin Buchannan, Chaplains J. T. Tucker and Ellen King, Viola, Amy, Laura, Meagan, Sherri and Jennie for their compassionate care of our beloved mother. The family would like to give a heartfelt Thank you to Odyssey Hospice Care as well as the Administration Staff of Arbor Terrace Health Care Center. We deeply appreciate the compassion and warm support you have given to our mom and the family each day that she was under your care.
