Rena G. Kiick, 91 of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday October 10, 2013 in San Marcos. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Sunday October 13, 2013 at Mereta Cemetery with Rev. Ellen King, officiating. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Rena was born in Dawson County, Texas on May 7, 1922 to Porter Alan and Audry Gray. She was a school teacher for many years. She married John Kiick in San Angelo on February 6, 1945 and they shared 50 wonderful years together until he passed away in 1995. Rena was known by everyone to be a very loving and caring Christian. She was known for her love of animals, books and people in need. She often prayed for friends, family and strangers on a daily basis. When she was growing, her friends nicknamed her Rena Gene Sunbeam because she smiled so much. She touched all the people that knew her and had friends that still wrote her even decades after they had seen her last. She was truly a good person. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and a daughter, Karen Kiick Survivors include her three grandchildren; Paul Wallace, Lee Wallace and Micah Wallace and a great-grandchild; Nicholas Pinson
