Rhoda Wilson Bluford, 65, of San Angelo, TX passed away on Friday August 16, 2013 in San Angelo, TX. Memorial services will be held 6:00pm Monday August 19, 2013 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with the Tommy King of Johnson Street Church of Christ and Jim Benson, chaplain at Shannon Medical Center, officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in Knoxville, TX. From 6:30pm to7:30pm with the memorial service at 7:30pm on Sunday August 25, 2013 at the Arlington Church of Christ with Dr. Tom Drinnin, officiating. Rhoda was born in Hamilton County, IN to Alfred and Pauline Wilson on February 21, 1948. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville TN for 30 years and a Human Resources Coordinator for Shannon Medical Center for 11 years. She was a member of Johnson Street Church of Christ. Rhoda is remembered for being a devoted Christian with a strong faith and a strong desire to serve others. She always had a kind word to say about everyone and would share whatever she had to give. Most of all, she made others smile with her infectious giggle. She touched many lives and always was an example of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents; Alfred and Pauline Wilson. Survivors include her son; Bobby Bluford of San Angelo, granddaughter; Katilyn Bluford of Eldorado, sister; Claudia Wilson, brother; Bill Wilson and wife, Mary, several nieces and nephews all of Knoxville, TN., the mother of her granddaughter, Michele McCants and her special mother in law, Gloria Kent, both of Eldorado, TX., Memorials may be given to Shannon Medical Center Benevolence Fund The family of Rhoda Bluford wishes to extend our sincere thanks to our families at Shannon Medical Center, Johnson Street Church of Christ, and Arlington Church of Christ, Knoxville, TN.
