Richard Gomez Bejil Jr., 61, of San Angelo, passed away on Wednesday June 22, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at a local care center. He was born on December 12, 1954 to Richard and Estella (Gonzalez) Bejil in San Angelo, TX. Richard worked as a machine specialist at Ethicon for 24 years and was a Local 514 Chief Union Steward. On August 15, 2005 he married Elsa Arce in San Angelo. Richard and Elsa lived in San Angelo. Richard loved his children and grand children and great grandchildren more than anything. Family was very important to him. Richard was known for raising money for those in need at benefits by cooking and volunteering his time. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing almost as much as he hated the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his mother, Estella Bejil. Richard is survived by his loving spouse of 10 years Elsa, seven sons; Richard Garcia of Ft. Worth, Abraham Bejil of Midland, Manuel Bejil, Richard Bejil, III both of San Angelo, Ryan Espinoza, Brandon Espinoza Sr. and Frank Espinoza IV, all of Littlefield, four daughters; Sophia Villanueva of Mertzon, Laura Bejil, Angela Garcia, Solydad Espinoza, his father; Richard Bejil Sr., two sisters; Elizabeth Bejil, Ernestina Luna, two brothers; Roger Bejil, Sr. and Robert Bejil all of San Angelo, 30 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday 10am to 8pm and Friday 8am to 4pm at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016, 6:00 pm at the River City Baptist Church with Pastor Edward Lopez, officiating.
