Bobby was born Jan. 20, 1948 in San Angelo, Texas to Bobby and Valda Gibbs. Bobby, was a lifelong resident of San Angelo and a Proud Texan. Bobby, graduated from Lake View High School. After graduation Bobby join the US Navy and was honorably discharged. Bobby, considered himself a simple man. He was a carpenter by trade and his passion for a "job well done" lasted up until a few weeks ago. His electric blue eyes lit up at the sight of Erica and Conlie. He was a man of few words and spoke softly. Bobby, had his struggles as many of us do. Knowing that the past few years of Bobby's life had been free of those issues gives great comfort to those who loved him and hope to those he encountered along his journey. We will hold him in our hearts forever and feel blessed by all of the wonderful memories we have of him. Bobby was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bobby and Valda Gibbs, uncle Jimmy Gibbs, aunt Jo Alice Thompson, cousin Tom Gibbs and cousin Mona Brown. Bobby was so proud of his daughter Erica Gibbs Carter and his granddaughter Conlie Ann Carter. They both were indeed the apples of his eye. The time spent with them both was so precious to him.
