Robert Haynes, 77, of San Angelo passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Dr. Toby Irwin and Rev. Richard Mahler of the Belmore Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are made by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Robert was born September 2, 1929 in Memphis, Tennessee to Robert and Christine Haynes. He retired from the United States Air Force. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. After his retirement from the military and taking classes at ASU he went to work for GTE Telephone Company. He met and married Jacquetta Ruth Ridge in 1984 while working in Texarkana, TX. He retired from GTE and taught electronics. After his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and taught computer classes at the Sante Fe Crossing as a volunteer. Robert was member and past Master of two Lodges, Lodge 570 in San Angelo, TX and Lodge 613 Paint Rock, TX. In 1997 he served as a Deputy Grand master of district 105. He was a member of Suez Shrine Center, also a member of Waco Scottish Rite. He had been a member of Wall Gun club since the late 1960's. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Hazel Swartzal. Survivors are his wife of 22 years, Jacquetta "Ruth" Haynes; daughters Judy Nicholas and husband, Donny of N. Kingstown, Rhode Island, Robin Edison of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; son William Edward Ridge and Kathy of DeKalb, Texas; son Darrell David Haynes of Dover, New Hampshire, his favorite niece Dorothy Eberle and husband, Roger of Gonzales, Texas. Also 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be members of the Lodge 570; Gene Warren, Johnnie Meek, Shawn Pacuzzi, Gary Samad, Howard Miller and Rich Baumback. Honorary pallbearers are all members of Lodge 570. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Melott, Dr. Coates and Hospice of San Angelo for all the loving care given to Robert. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Hospice of San
