Robert G. Lara

Robert G. Lara, 60 of San Angelo passed away Wednesday May 4, 2011 at an area hospital. Memorial service will be 6:00 PM Saturday May 7, 2011 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Robert was born October 18, 1950 in San Angelo where he was raised by his loving parents Gilbert and Virginia Gutierrez Valles Lara. He joined the U. S. Marines and served his country in Vietnam. His light-hearted spirit made him and those who were lucky to know him enjoy life. His passion for the outdoors allowed him and his family to participate in hunting, fishing, boating and tinkering. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gilbert G. Lara. Survivors include his wife; Mary Ann Lara of San Angelo; two daughters, Jennifer Murphey and husband, William of San Angelo, Ana Dominguez and husband, Philip of Colorado Springs, CO.; a son, Robert Lara Jr. of San Angelo; four grandchildren; Brendan Murphey, Jenna Murphey, of San Angelo and Noah Dominguez and Ciena Dominguez of Colorado Springs, CO.
