Robert Pritz, 80, loved husband, father, brother and friend passed away at his home on Monday, May 2, 2011. A catered visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday May 5, 2011 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Cathy McCorkle, Christoval United Methodist Church, and Rev. Nancy York, chaplain of Hospice of San Angelo, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with military honors. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Clay Atkins, Clint Cave, Bill Rawls, Charlie Bowers, Michael Cleveland, Taylor Bowers, Garrett Wilde, and Kirkland Pritz. Bob was born January 11, 1931, in Martin, Pennsylvania. After high school graduation, he joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country for 21 and 1/2 years with two tours in the Philippines and one in Thailand. After his retirement from the United States Air Force, he worked for Mitsubishi Aircraft fourteen years and then continued his aircraft mechanic career until his retirement in 1999 from Raytheon Aerospace. He loved bowling, hunting, fishing and camping with his family; he particularly enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren in all of their activities and sporting events. He married Willie Lou (Janie) Kirk on February 14, 1954 in San Angelo and they were happily married for 57 years. Proceeded in death by his parents, Mike and Mary Pritz; his brothers, John, Pete, Charles and his sister, Sophie Hokes. Bob is survived by his loving wife Willie Lou (Janie) Pritz; his children, Mary Lou Cleveland and husband James Lee of Christoval; Janie Kay Sage and husband Terrence Kevin of Grapevine; Linda Ann Bowers and husband Charles Boyd of Knickerbocker; Susan Marie Wilde and husband Malcolm Adolph of Wall; Robert Kirk Pritz and wife Chasity Cheri of Clyde. His grandchildren; Charlie Bowers, Sherry Dutton, Michael Cleveland, Samantha Cleveland, Taylor Bowers, Audrey Wilde, Garrett Wilde, Abbigail Pritz, Kirkland Pritz and step grandson Kenneth Cleveland. Bob also had numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Mildred Floyd; Mary Arndt; Ann Petracca; and brother, Eli Pritz. The Family wishes to thank all of those who called, came by, or simply said a prayer. They would also like to add a special thank you to Ashley and Carlea for their devoted care and to Hospice of San Angelo, especially Mary and Megan, for their help and guidance. We thank God for your expressions of love. May God bless you all.
