Rodulph "Rudy" G. Valdez

Rudolph "Rudy" Valdez of San Angelo died July 30, 2015 in his residence at the age of 74. He was born to Roque and Mariana Valdez October 17, 1940 in Menard, TX where he was also raised. He was a long time employee of B & W Trailers. Rudy loved to spend time with his family, loved to Bar-B-Q, sit down enjoy a beer while listening to music. Rudy was a devoted, hardworking man and loved working outside on projects and in the yard. He loved watching Football especially his favorite team The Dallas Cowboys and golf. Rudy had a very colorful character and huge heart. He is preceded in death by his mother Mariana Valdez, father Roque Valdez, brothers Rocky Valdez, Joe Valdez, son Benjamin Valdez, and grandson Adrean Begil. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Ophelia Valdez, daughter Vicky Valdez and husband Christopher Begil of San Angelo, sons Sal Valdez and wife Nerza of the Philippines , Richard Valdez and wife Zulema of Nevada, sister Emma Lara and husband Sam Lara of Menard. Nine grandchildren including his special grandchildren Ariana, Izaak and Nikolas. Three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Sam Lara, Christopher Begil, Richard Gonzales, Daniel Rodriguez, Jimmy Kennon and John Cortez. Rosary will be held at Robert Massie Funeral Home on Sunday evening August 2, 2015 at 7pm. Funeral services will be held in Menard, TX Monday morning August 3rd, 2015 at 11am with burial following at the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family would like to thank everyone who helped Rudy in his time of illness with extended gratitude to Billy of B&W Trailers, his sister Emma, nieces Veronica, Vivian and husband Ray, San Angelo Home Health and Hospice of San Angelo. Rudy will be missed dearly everyday. We love you very much.
