Ronald "Pops" Soldano

Ronald "Pops" Soldano, 68, of San Angelo passed away on July 22, 2015 in San Angelo. Memorial services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 at Southland Baptist Church with Pastor Taylor Sandlin officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ron was born in San Jose, CA to Charles and Rose Soldano on May 12, 1947. He graduated Lamar High School in San Jose, CA in 1968. He married Margaret Barler on August 9, 1969 in San Angelo, TX. He was a veteran of Vietnam and served in the Air Force for 4 years. He worked as a computer programmer for GTE for 22 years in San Angelo, TX. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, talking about politics, reading books, doing puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren. He won the junior state championship for bowling in 1962. Ron is preceded in death by his parents. Ron is survived by his three brothers and three children. Son; Anthony Soldano of Austin and his wife Lydia and their daughter Mackenzie. Daughter; Sandy Jameson of Wall and her husband Brent and their children Pierce and Auburn. Son; David Soldano of San Angelo and his wife Kassie and their children Andi, Sierra, Hayden, & Beckett. Brothers; Leonard Soldano, Chuck Soldano, & Robert Soldano. Memorials may be given to Rust Street Ministries or House of Faith.
