RONNIE B. ROWE

Ronnie B. Rowe, 73, of San Angelo, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ricky Burk of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ronnie was born in Pecos, TX, to Bueford and Jean Rowe on Sept. 13, 1937. He was raised in Balmorhea and graduated from Balmorhea High School. He attended Texas Tech University and San Angelo College. He enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He married Elsie McCall on June 8, 1967, in San Angelo. He worked as a Purchasing Agent for Martin Glover for more than 20 years and retired from McLane Food Service after another 20 years of service. For the last eight years, he taught art classes to people at MHMR Services for the Concho Valley. Ronnie was a member of First United Methodist Church and a past member of Day Memorial Methodist Church. He is past president of the San Angelo Art Club and taught classes at the Kendall Art Gallery. Ronnie will be remembered for his kindheartedness and patience. He was an exceptionally caring person especially to those in his family and the individuals at MHMR. He enjoyed his friendships through various organizations but especially with his weekend card playing group. Ronnie is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, and his parents. Ronnie is survived by his son, Greg Rowe, of San Angelo; a brother, Gary (Tony) Rowe, of San Angelo; a grandson, Erick Rowe, of San Angelo; an aunt, Dwyn Schnack, of Clinton, NC; sister-in-laws, Linda Williams, of Houston, and Patsy McCall, of San Angelo; a brother-in-law, Bob McCall, of Curwensville, PA; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to thank the Staff of Shannon Medical Center for their wonderful care and kindness during Ronnie'™s illness.
