Ronnie Wilson, 63, of San Angelo formerly of Midland, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 in San Angelo at his home. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Golf Course Road Church of Christ. Leslie Davidson of Hope in Christ Cowboy Church, officiating. Ronnie was born in Pampa, Texas to Bill and Bonnie Wilson on February 11, 1951. He graduated high school at Kermit. In 1974, he graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science. He married Cyndi Corp on May 10, 1986 in Midland. He worked as a policeman for the Midland Police Department for nearly forty years. He graduated from the 136th session of the FBI National Academy in 1984. He earned both Advanced and Master Peace Officer certifications. Ronnie was promoted to Detective Sergeant on March 1, 1987 and Lieutenant on June 16, 1989. As a Lieutenant, he held assignments in the Administrative Services Bureau, the Field of Operations Bureau, the Investigative Services Bureau and the Support Services Bureau. He retired September 30, 2013. Ronnie is preceded in death by his grandparents, WM Wilson, Lillie Wilson, TJ Rhea, Willie Ann Rhea and aunt Estelene Baer. Ronnie is survived by his wife: Cyndi Wilson of San Angelo, TX , his daughter: Katie Wilson of Philadelphia, PA, his son: Clay and his wife Stephanie Wilson of Mertzon, TX, his brother Howard and his wife Tanice Wilson of Odessa, TX, his parents Bill and Bonnie Wilson of Midland, TX and many other beloved family members. The family will receive family and friends after the service at the home of Mike Ford, 1002 NCR 1105, Midland, Texas. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
