Rosa Calderon Rosa G Calderon went to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 14, 2013, at the age of 81. Rosary will be on Thursday May 15, 2013 at 7:00pm at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 18,2013 at St. Joseph Church with Father Emilo Sosa officiating. Burial will follow at Belvedere Memorial Park. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. Rosa was born on December 13,1931 to Juan and Guadalupe Guerrero in Sabinas Coahuila Mexico. She was one out of six brothers and sisters. Rosa married her husband Ezequiel Calderon in May of 1953.They gave birth to six wonderful sons and daughters. Rosa and her husband moved to San Angelo in 1980 and made it home. They were married for many years until he also went to be with the Lord. Rosa loved to travel. She enjoyed going to Mexico with her friends. She liked to visit her sisters that lived in Mexico. She loved to make homemade tortillas and tamales. She never passed up the opportunity to cook a good meal for her family. Rosa was a very independent woman that would go all over town to get her errands done. Survivors include son Juan Calderon and wife Maria, son Robert Calderon and wife Maria, son Oscar Calderon, son Ruben Calderon and wife Maricela, Daughters Dora Calderon and Enedina Calderon. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also by her very special friend Don Polo Longoria who was always by her side and was considered part of the family.
