ROY LEE RODGERS

Roy Lee Rodgers, 69, of San Angelo, Texas went to be with the Lord on Friday November 19, 2004. Family will accept visitors at Robert Massie Funeral Home, Sunday November 21, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday November 22, 2004 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Marcos Rivera, of Del Rio officiating. Burial will be at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Terry and Dinah Reynolds, Robert Pate, Charlie Jones, David Hodges, and Harvey Cox all of San Angelo, Texas. Roy Lee was born October 16, 1935 in Cumby, Texas to Roy and Ildra Rodgers. Roy married his lovely wife Helen Dragoun, March 24, 1956, and had one daughter Dianell. Roy Lee managed Hudson Oil Company in 1970 to 1980 in Dallas, Texas. Roy Lee and his wife moved to San Angelo, in 1981 and started their own business known as AA Pump Company in 1983. Roy Lee was an avid golfer, and was a member of Bentwood Country Club for many years. He lived life to the fullest, and enjoyed every waking moment of it. He was preceded in death by his father Roy F. Rodgers, and his two sisters Maurine Winters, and Glenna Born. Roy Lee is survived by his wife Helen Rodgers of San Angelo, Texas, daughter, Dianell Strickland of Christoval, Texas, mother, Ildra Rodgers of Ore City, Texas, two sisters, Margaret Thompson and Jean Cloud, of Ore City, Texas, three grandchildren, Cody Adams of Austin, Texas, Jacy Holland and husband Jay of Pflugerville, Texas, and Dusty Strickland of Christoval, Texas, and one great grandson, Bade Holland, of Pflugerville, Texas, and many nephews and nieces.
