Ruby Emma Frenzel Coffman, 89 of San Angelo passed away Thursday April 18, 2013 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Charles Stone. Her heavenly father received her 10 days shy of her 90th birthday. Momma was born April 28, 1923 in Rowena, TX., to Ben and Ella Frenzel. She grew up in Grape Creek, attending Grape Creek and Water Valley schools. She enjoyed reminiscing about classmates, walking to school and trips to town on Saturdays to watch the Westerns at the movie theater. Later, she would go to school in Abilene, TX, where she met Arthur James (Joe) Coffman, stationed at Camp Barkley during WWII, they were married 49 years. She was an avid reader and gardener. She loved hymns, you could hear her singing "How Great Thou Art" under her breath. She was a true servant of the Lord, always helping "anyone" with rides to church, errands, buying and delivering groceries, lending money and if you were ill, her hamburger soup beat out chicken soup any day. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her being and tried to live as He instructed. No pretentiousness; what you see is what you get, as a friend put it, "She was a true Nathaniel; there was no guile" - John 1:47 She worked throughout the years as a civil servant at Goodfellow AFB, Montgomery Ward, Joe's grocery on Randolph Street when their daughter was born, who slept in an apple crate at the grocery store, The Enoch's Perry Shakley Store and New Life Bookstore. She was precede in death by an infant brother, Raymond, her husband, Joe Coffman, parents, Ben and Ella Frenzel and many close friends and family. She will be missed greatly by her daughter; Anna Stone and husband, Charles, granddaughters; Sarah Roads and husband, Simon, Ruthanne Volbrecht and husband, Jon, her precious great-grandchildren; Sophie and Charley. We would like to thank with much gratitude Lighthouse Hospice, especially, Jo (our special angel), Dale, Vicki, Helen and Jeanie, Dr. Vicki Forlano, Pam (her birthday buddy), Marie and Elizabeth (Calvary Baptist), Cereta and Renaè, A Thousand Gifts and Eucharisteo. There has been a private family celebration. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. She was passionate about Cal Farley's Boys Ranch (Jason), CBN, TBN or a charity or church of your choice.
