Ruby Nell Fisher

Ruby Nell Fisher, 80, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at Shannon Medical Center surrounded by family. Ruby was born on May 7, 1935 to Thomas and Jewel Watkins in Norman Park, GA. Ruby worked as a beautician for the San Angelo State School for 16 years. She spent her life serving God by helping others while taking on the role of mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was a hard worker, creative spirit, and loved greatly by all. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Thomas Watkins, Jr., Hubert Watkins, and sister, Sue Jones. Ruby is survived by her loving daughters Susanne Fisher and Jody Wolfe of San Angelo, TX, Sandy Poelstra and husband Phil of Oklahoma City, OK, grandchildren, Abram McNeal and wife Stacia of Lakeside Village, TX, Paige and Lexie Wolfe of Oklahoma City, OK, great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Weston McNeal of Lakeside Village, TX, sister-in-law, Corine Watkins of Plant City, FL, brother-in-law, Moe Jones of Booneville, AR, along with many other relatives and friends. Family visitation will be held 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Monday, February 8, 2016 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with David Smith pastor of Word of Life Assembly of God officiating. Burial will take place in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Marshall Stewart, Terry Gauwain, Roy Hawkins, David Nowlin, Ralph Crain, Donald Davis, Keith McNeal, and Phil Poelstra. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
