RUPERTO "ROBERT" DURON

Ruperto 'œRobert'� Duron, 82, of San Angelo passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at a local hospital. Rosary services will be held 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2010 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father David Herrera officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Robert was born in El Paso, TX on August 4, 1927 to Julio and Dolores (Hernandez) Duron. He married Dora (Ortiz) Duron in 1946 in El Paso. She preceded him in death on May 31, 1996. Robert owned his own trucking business for over 27 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eduardo, Edmundo, sisters, Ernestina and Julia. Robert is survived by his daughter, Dolores Ramos and husband, Joe; sons, David Duron, Danny Duron and wife, Elva all of San Angelo; son, Dennis Duron and wife, Yvonne of El Paso; brother, Adolfo Duron; sisters, Rachel Heredia, Vera Morales, Matilda Puga and husband, David; and Consuelo Torres and husband, Ralph all of El Paso, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Shannon Hospital ER and ICU staff, also the staff of Adult Daycare for all the care extended to Robert in his time of need.
