Ruth May Dalton, 91, of San Angelo, passed away on November 12, 2016 at home in Justin, Texas. Ruth was born on February 28, 1925 to Benjamin and Dosha (Chapman) Jackson in Anton, Texas. Ruth was a homemaker, raising her three children. On December 4, 1941, she married Jess Dalton in Anton. She was an avid bowler and loved cooking all the many vegetables Jess grew in his garden. Ruth is survived by her two sons, Eddie Theron Dalton of Garland, TX, Gregory Lynn (Valerie) Dalton of Bay Point, CA; Daughter, Debbie May (Randall) Haire of Justin, TX; Three Grandsons, Mike Dalton, Ted Dalton, Brian Dalton; Three Granddaughters, Amanda Parmelly, Monica Dalton, Dianna Aufderheide; eight great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Lawrence and Dosha Elizabeth Jackson, husband, Jess C Dalton along with seven brothers and sisters. Family visitation will be held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 18, 2016, at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Chaplain Mike Andress, officiating. Burial will take place in the Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to her caregiver, Ben Reeves; along with Cheri Pinchback, Becky Greathouse and numerous neighbors for all the love and care shown to mother.
