RUTH E. MCGOVNEY

Ruth E. McGovney, 93, of San Angelo, died Sunday, October 7, in a local hospital. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, at St. Paul Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Glenda Harbert and Rev. Craig Meyers officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Ruth was born May 15, 1914 in Defiance, Ohio, to John and Fannie McGovney. She was a bookkeeper until she moved to San Angelo to help care for her twin brother, Richard and his wife Hazel. Both preceded her in death. Ruth's remaining family members, of St. Paul Presbyterian Church, are left to cherish her memory and thank God for the blessing of her life among us. She had so many special friends, but Helen Adams, Dolores and Vern Jones, Betty Ulsh and Anne Kerr, especially supported, nurtured and cared for Ruth in her declining health during her last years.
