Santiago M. Gonzales, 61 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 16, 2014 at a local care center. Rosary will be held 7:00pm Thursday December 18, 2014 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on 10:00am Friday, December 19, 2014, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Deacon Abel Fernandez officiating. Burial will take place in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. He was born on August 30, 1953 to Guadalupe and Antonia (Mendez) Gonzales in Sugarland, TX. Santiago worked as a janitor and porter for Shannon and Lee Jr. High. On March 25, 1975 he married Yolanda Rivas in Seminole. Santiago and Yolanda lived in San Angelo, Texas. Pallbearers will be Carlos Martinez, Robert Martinez, Brandon Reyna, Alejandro Mediano, Chris Hinojosa and Bobby Hinojosa. He was preceded in death by Mother, Antonia Gonzales, Father, Guadalupe Gonzales, Brother, Larry Gonzales Santiago is survived by his loving spouse of 39 years Yolanda, two daughters, Cynthia Mediano and husband, Emmett of San Angelo, TX, Rachel Hill and husband, Frank of San Angelo, TX; four granddaughters, Tiffany Hill, Bianca Mediano, Gabriella Hill, and Victoria Hill, grandson, Alejandro Mediano all of San Angelo, TX; five sisters, Mary Torres of Seminole, TX, Lupe Najera and husband, John of Meadow, TX, Rosa Najera of Odessa, TX, Aurora Velasquez and husband, Vincent of Seminole, TX, Sylvia Trevino and husband, Danny of Raymondville, TX; Brother, Ruben Gonzales of Seminole, TX. The family wishes to thank the Shannon Dr.s, nurses and staff of the 4th floor, ICU and Surgery Dept. for the loving care and concern shown to our family.
