Santiago "Jimmy" Martinez, loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, uncle, brother passed away on September 21, 2018 in San Angelo, TX. Jimmy was born in Loraine, Texas to Lorenza Reyes & Selestino Martinez on February 16, 1945 and raised by Canuto Sr. and Francisca "Keeka" Arellano. He married Petra Sias on November 23, 2013 in San Angelo, TX. He loved watching Dallas Cowboy football, loved Tejano music, keeping his yard and gardening, planting his roses and flowers, and loved his dog Buddy. He worked at ASCO. He is preceded in death by son, Paul Martinez and brothers; Juan, Roberto and Ruben Arellano and sisters, Elaine (Helen) Eugenia Martinez and Julia Chavarria. Pallbearers will be Selestino Martinez, Esteven Rosales, Ben Martinez, Inocencio Briones, Juan Sias Jr., Joe Garcia, Richard Mendez, Andrew Soto and Jeffrey Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Martinez, Buster Kelly, Jesus Cardenas, Chris McGee and Brandon Martinez. He is survived by wife, Petra Sias, his children; Jimmy Martinez, Connie( Angel) Rosado, Paula (Inocencio) Briones, Ben Martinez, Rosie (Johnathan) Sullivan, Selestino (Anna) Martinez and( His Baby girl, Elizabeth (Buster) Kelly. Siblings are Mary Galvan, Gloria (Gregorio) Rodriguez, Tony E. (Darla) Chavarria, Johnny E. (Jackie) Chavarria, Jesse (Eva) Echavarria, Pete (Elizabeth) Echavarria, Tommy Echavarria, Lile Echavarria, Canuto Arellano, Ramon Arellano, Carolina Arellano, Linda Ramirez, Mary Helen Sanchez, Manuel Arellano and Ricky Arellano and his six step children; Norma Flores, Gloria (Joe) Garcia, Rose( Lino) Rangel, Lucy (Luis) Gutierrez, Dalia (Javier) Cifuentes, Juan Sias, Jr. and Veronica (Eliazar) Carrillo who was raised as her daughter.; Grandchildren; Andrew, Matthew, MJ, Iola, Crystal, Jesus, Jeffery, Vanessa, Esteven, Viviana, Rosie Daniella, Chris, Cortney, Scotty, Brandon, Ashley, Kimberly and Johnny Ray. Numerous great grandchildren, step grandchildren including his favorite step grandchild, Luis Gutierrez, other nieces and nephews. Viewing will be 1:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with rosary being recited at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Bala Anthony Govindu officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
